Los días domingo 22 y 29, de 7 a 12 h, el Banco de Sangre permanecerá abierto para cubrir las necesidades de transfusiones de nuestros pacientes.
En las dos últimas semanas del año se da uno de los períodos más críticos para los pacientes que reciben transfusiones diarias. Los días feriados del mes de diciembre, las vacaciones y las fiestas, hacen que la cantidad de donaciones disminuyan y, por lo tanto, las reservas bajen.
También, es importante tener en cuenta que la sangre se vence y es necesario contar con unidades para transfundir durante un periodo determinado de tiempo. Las plaquetas, por ejemplo, son las que se vencen más rápido: a los 5 días.
El Banco de Sangre necesita mantener un ritmo de donación constante también en Navidad y Año Nuevo. Es por eso que se invita a la comunidad para donar sangre y plaquetas los días domingo 22 y 29 de 7 a 12 h.
